Mesa mom accused of shooting teenage son
Police say 42-year-old Shamonica Cannon was armed at her home near Southern Avenue and Dobson Road when her two children tried taking the gun away from her. During the struggle, the gun went off and her 16-year-old son was shot. He's expected to survive. Cannon is accused of aggravated assault and endangerment.
