Gilbert teen recovering after being struck by car
An 8th grader remains in critical condition after he was struck by a car last week in Gilbert. Ryan Hinze's family says he was riding his bike home from a friend's house around 8 p.m. last Tuesday. He was crossing the intersection at Val Vista Road and Elliot when a car hit him. The 14-year-old was rushed to the hospital where he underwent emergency brain surgery.

$2K reward offered in Gilbert woman's murder
Rachel Hansen, 19, was killed in June 2022 near San Tan Village Parkway and Ray Road. Hansen called 911, saying that someone broke into her apartment and shot her. Hansen died at the hospital. A reward of $2,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in her murder. If you have any information, you're asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
