DoorDash is welcoming a new employee to the Valley, called "Dot"— their new food delivery robot. The robot will start out in Tempe and Mesa before becoming fully operational throughout the rest of the Valley. "Dot" can reach speeds of up to 20 miles per hour, travel on streets, sidewalks and driveways, and can handle up to six large pizza boxes or 30 pounds of cargo.

A brown pelican found in distress in the Arizona desert during the summer heat is now at La Jolla Cove in southern California. After Liberty Wildlife in Phoenix rescued the brown pelican, they reached out to SeaWorld San Diego, which picked up the bird in Yuma. The team brought it to its rescue facility, providing four months of care to rehabilitate the pelican.
