Spring Fire burning near Sunflower
The Spring Fire started on Saturday, June 1, and has grown to an estimated 4,097 acres. The fire is 50% contained.

Rattlesnake, bobcat battle for a shady spot
As the heat picks up, even the animals are doing what they can to stay cool, and that includes getting a bit scrappy. A video out of Saguaro National Park shows a bobcat and a rattlesnake battling it out for a prime spot of shade right outside the park's visitor center. According to park officials, local wildlife tries to take advantage of the lower visitation during the heat of the summer. It appears this fight ended in a draw as both animals disappeared into different bushes in the area.
