Title 42 ending: The impact on Arizona
The federal COVID-19 public health emergency officially ends in just over a day, and along it with a border policy called Title 42 which limited migrant access to the U.S. Title 42 allowed the U.S. to quickly remove migrants who entered the country illegally, sending them back to Mexico or their home countries to prevent the COVID-19 spread. With it coming to an end, officials expect to see more than 10,000 migrants come into the country each day.
