Glendale Bee attack; at least 8 people stung

Firefighters say the bees are coming out earlier this year, and be attacks are on the rise.

Early this evening a neighborhood was under attack as a swarm stung at least eight people including one child.

One adult was stung so many times that she was taken to the hospital.

At one point she was trapped in her apartment with a firefighter for about 30 minutes because the swarm was at her front door.

Crews had to bring her a bee-proof suit to escape.

Firefighters found multiple bees in multiple locations where they used foam to kill the bees.

Authorities say a bee hive was removed earlier Wednesday and that may have resulted in the bees swarming the area.

Officials say leave any hives alone and if necessary call a bee exterminator.
