A tractor-trailer and passenger car crashed leaving three people dead and two critically injured on Interstate 10 near the Arizona-New Mexico border.

Westbound Interstate 10 will be closed between State Route 143 and the I-17 Split from 10 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Monday for a traffic shift for the Broadway Curve Improvement Project; southbound I-17 will be closed at the Loop 303 and narrowed to one lane between the Loop 303 and Jomax Road from 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday for pavement work; westbound Loop 202 Santan will be closed between Gilbert Road and Arizona Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project; eastbound I-10 will be closed the I-17 Split and 7th Avenue from 9 p.m. Saturday through 9 a.m. Sunday for tunnel maintenance; and eastbound U.S. 60 will be narrowed to three lanes between Gilbert Road and the Loop 202 from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday for pavement maintenance.

A teen is seriously injured after getting hit by a car in the area of 60th Street and Greenway Road in north Phoenix. The incident happened near Horizon High School, but it is unknown if the teen is a student there. The victim's condition is unknown.

The crash, which happened at the I-10/I-17 Stack, left a woman dead and two children seriously injured.
