Detectives say 30-year-old Samuel Casas was shot during a robbery and was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. He died in the hospital later that evening.
“During the course of the investigation, probable cause was developed to arrest one of those subjects, 40-year-old Semice Bell, for 2nd Degree Murder for this homicide,” said Sgt. Ann Justus.
On Saturday, police identified the suspect as 30-year-old Jose Martinez.
Police say the victim was struck by a FedEx truck and a second large truck near 43rd Avenue and Northern on Thursday.

The male driver of the motorcycle and the female passenger both suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
DPS officials say a crash involving multiple vehicles has blocked lanes in both directions on a portion of I-17 in North Phoenix for some time on Friday.

Officers say the teen had just left a party near Cave Creek and Greenway after it was broken up earlier that night.
