Man allegedly broke into apartment to hide from police
A man who allegedly broke into an apartment near 7th and Southern Avenues to hide from police has been arrested. Court documents say officers tried to pull over 31-year-old Paul McKinney for a suspended license plate. McKinney allegedly fled the traffic stop and ran into an apartment. The women inside the apartment said they didn't know McKinney and that he kicked in the door, saying he needed to hide. McKinney also allegedly asked one of the women to hide his gun and when she tried to leave the apartment with her daughter, McKinney blocked the door. McKinney was arrested and is accused of kidnapping and drug and weapons charges.
