Chandler 4th graders learn about the importance of water

CHANDLER, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Nearly 900 fourth graders from around the Chandler School District learned a valuable lesson today -- simple by nature, yet very important.

Arizona Project Wet's Interactive Water Festival teaches students how water travels, where it's stored and how it can be saved.

Through playing games and science experiments, the kids learn what Earth looks like hundreds of feet below the surface and how water operates above and below the ground.

The project hopes to help students better understand the importance of such a natural resource, so youth and younger generations can step up to protect the great value water plays in our world.
