Man in extremely critical condition after shooting at 7-Eleven

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A man has been hospitalized in "extremely critical condition" after being shot near a 7-Eleven on 27th Avenue and Indian School Road early Sunday morning.

Phoenix police say the victim and suspect were shooting at each other in the parking lot of a convenience store at 1:45 A.M.

The suspect successfully ran away and the victim, who tried to drive away, crashed in a Shell gas station parking lot.

Police are still investigating.
