Massive drug bust nets over 1,700 pounds of marijuana

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. (KSAZ) - The Pinal County Sheriff's Office have made a massive drug bust on Friday morning.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu announced in a press conference that 1,737 pounds of marijuana have been recovered and 21 suspects have been arrested.

The sheriff said the bust happened just before 3 a.m., and 40 additional smugglers got away before they could be taken into custody.
