TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- The president of the University of Arizona plans to meet with a group of students after invoking Native American stereotypes in remarks to their class.
Robbins dropped by one of their class sessions unexpectedly last month. According to the group, he told them that he wasn't trying to "pull an Elizabeth Warren" but he recently had a DNA test done because he might be part Cherokee.
Robbins said he planned to get re-tested because of his "very high cheekbones."
At least two students have since visited his office and told Robbins they were offended by his comments.
