Walgreens and CVS were under investigation by the Department of Health and Human Services after several complaints, as women across the country reported being denied prescriptions for drugs like methotrexate. While Methotrexate can be used to induce abortions, it is also used to treat other conditions like lupus, arthritis, and cancer. Health officials say pharmacies have a Federal obligation to fill prescriptions.
