Scottsdale is launching a new emergency alert notification system. The RAVE Alert system will be run by Scottsdale Police. It will be activated during large events, providing alerts about things like severe weather, public safety concerns, evacuations and more. This will start next week during the WM Phoenix Open.

Arizona man sentenced for luring boys online

24-year-old Jacob Lozano was sentenced to prison for luring boys online. He pleaded guilty after he was accused of using social media and online gaming to commit the acts. He was arrested after a boy's mother found a text on her 11-year-old's phone. Police say he coerced victims into making videos over a webcam. Lozano will spend 32 years behind bars.
