Crews monitoring large hay fire near Buckeye

BUCKEYE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Crews responded to a large hay fire, which sparked overnight near Buckeye.

The Buckeye Fire Department tells Fox 10 that the fire broke out at the Triple G Dairy farm, which is near Palo Verde and Broadway. The fire sparked at about midnight and crews are monitoring the fire, which has burned over 1,000 bales of hay.

No firefighters were injured and the owner of the farm will use equipment to spread the hay around and let it burn itself out.
