Critics and supporters of law enforcement hold protests

Activists held an anti-police brutality protest Friday evening in the Camelback corridor.

The protest started at 8 p.m. near 24th Street and Camelback. Around 8:30 p.m. protesters marched to block 24th Street south of Camelback.

Protesters signed and gave "12 point list of demands" to the City of Phoenix and Police Chief. The list has items they want to see changed in order to improve relations.

A pro-police protest took place at the same corner and at some points both groups were seen debating with each other.

Police blocked the traffic for about 5-10 minutes while the activities rallied.

In Tempe yet another protest took place at Tempe Beach Park with activists protesting the deaths of two African American men during encounters with police.

There were no arrests or injuries during any of the protests.
