DPS investigating fatal shooting by Winslow police

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal shooting of a woman by police in Winslow.

DPS spokesman Raul Garcia said in a statement that 27-year-old Loreal Tsingine was shot by police after she allegedly threatened officers with a weapon during an altercation late Sunday.

The DPS says the shooting is being investigated by the detectives of the Major Crimes District detectives.

The DPS did not specify the type of weapon that Tsingine allegedly had or how many officers shot her, and Garcia sayys no additional information is available.
