Father charged after 3-year-old wanders away from home

KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw Police arrest a father after his 3-year-old daughter wandered from home and was almost hit by a car.

Norman Stepho has been charged with reckless conduct.

Police said a woman found the child in the middle of the road last Tuesday.

When officers went to the little girl's home, Stepho told them he had taken pain medication and his friend was supposed to be watching her.

Officers found that friend passed out in the bathroom.

They also found alcohol, needles, and other drug paraphernalia in the home.
