First West Nile Virus death of the season reported in Maricopa County

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Officials with the Maricopa County Department of Public Health have reported the first death associated with the West Nile Virus this season.

According to a statement released Friday, the person who died was an older adult who also suffered from additional health issues. Officials also said there have been 19 human cases of the West Nile Virus reported this season.
