Flash flooding in New River: One year later

Image 1 of 3

It's been one year since massive flash floods picked up a home in New River and carried it down a wash.

The flood water moved so fast and rose so high that the house was wedged against a large tree and the two women inside were unable to get out, so they waved a white pillowcase outside of a window.

Rescue crews lowered down to the roof from a helicopter to save the two women.

VIDEO: FOX 10's Courtney Griffin spoke to the women and has the story.
