Mesa man's bike, wagon used to transport service dog stolen

MESA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Josh Jones and his service dog are like two peas in a pod. Wherever he goes, Buddy is by his side.

"He's what keeps me calm," Jones said. "He helps me out with my medical problems. I'm used to having him with me everywhere I go.

That is, until back in April when Josh's bike was stolen, which is what he uses to take Buddy along for a ride.

"I saved up for months to get the bike and then I didn't have it two days and then somebody got it from me," Jones said. "I had pulled over to change a tire and I had him in the shade, and when I turned back around to take everything apart... it was gone."

Jones took to social media to spread the word, hoping someone would come forward, but after months of waiting... still nothing.

The 32-year-old suffers from PTSD, panic attacks, and seizures. Josh says it's frightening because it's Buddy who helps him through his medical issues and tough times.

"I can't believe somebody would do that, you know," he said. "I had to walk back with the trailer and him with it, and it's hard for me to walk already and so it's a big burden."

Josh is asking anyone with any information on where his bike and wagon might be to contact the Mesa Police Department.
