Navy veteran gets pleasant surprise after his car, dog was stolen

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Police have been trying to find the culprit who allegedly stole a valley veteran's car two weeks ago, when he made a quick stop at an auto parts store.

Inside the vehicle was the veteran's service dog, which remains missing. On Wednesday, the veteran, 76-year-old Jack Steinman, was surprised to learn he's getting a car, for free. The dealer had the surprise for Steinman, after heading his heartbreaking story.

Meanwhile, people at Sky Sanctuary Rescue are handling the search and rescue efforts for Steinman's two-year-old female Maltese, named Ladybug.
