Paperwork filed in an effort to recall Diane Douglas

Paperwork has been filed in an effort to recall Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas.

The recall paperwork was filed on Monday morning and more than 366,000 signatures must be collected by December 30 to force a recall election. Opponents of Douglas say she lacks experience to do her job.

Since she took office, Douglas has been regularly clashing with members of the Board of Education, however, Douglas' officials say she remains focused on supporting students, parents and educators of Arizona.
