Parsons Village helps families in need

A new affordable housing project is now open to Phoenix that will help dozens of families in need. U-Mom New Day Centers teamed up with the Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation to open "Parsons Village."

Phoenix families in need received new hope with the new community.

"48 families are now gonna have a first class place to live with services to help kids," said Darlene Newsom.

U-Mom New Day Centers "Parsons Village" has four-dozen units with about three-dozen of them set aside for chronically homeless individuals and families. The community will also help families get back on their feet. It boats a technology center to provide help with job searching and interview training. There are also life skills classes on nutrition and wellness, parenting and safety, and kids will have their own activities and programs including homework help.
