Suspect sought in deadly Peoria robbery
PEORIA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Peoria police detectives say a person was shot to death in an armed robbery, and a juvenile suspect is now in custody for the crime.
On Sunday, Peoria police announced that four suspects were involved in the homicide, and they have identified a second suspect they want to find.
The shooting took place off Castle Hot Springs Road and the Carefree Highway. SkyFox video shows emergency crews trying to save a man placed in the back of a Peoria Police SUV.
On Saturday, Peoria police said the shooting victim had passed away from injuries sustained in the shooting. The victim's name has not yet been released.
Police say a 17-year-old male has been taken into custody and that is expected to be booked on charges of armed robbery and first-degree murder.
Police say on Sunday that a total of four suspects were involved in the homicide. The second suspect has been described as 18-year-old Wesley Considine.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has units assisting Peoria Police.
