Valley baby a finalist in Gerber contest

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Baby Riley has had a tough young life, he's been through more than most people do in their entire lives.

Riley has a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, it means he was born with half a heart.

His parents submitted a photo to Gerber Baby Food as part of their 2015 contest. Riley has been selected as a finalist and his family hopes to win the $50,000 prize to go towards Riley's ongoing medical expenses.
