Successful SpaceX launch of U.S. Space Force GPS satellite

On Tuesday, SpaceX launched a new U.S. Space Force GPS satellite into orbit atop a Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral. 

Memorial service held for Phoenix Police Commander Greg Carnicle

Commander Greg Carnicle was shot and killed in March by a suspect while responding to a domestic violence call. Two other officers who were shot have since been released from the hospital.

In an effort to stop a massive surge in new coronavirus cases, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey ordered bars, nightclubs, gyms, movie theaters and water parks around the state to be closed for at least 30 days starting at 8 p.m. on June 29.

Avondale Fire burns over 800 acres, evacuations lifted

The Avondale Fire started on June 26. It was previously reported to be 980 acres - and burning close to the Estrella Mountains, according to the Avondale Fire Department.

Three people were found dead and another person was seriously injured in a Phoenix stabbing Sunday morning. Two of the victims are children and the third is a teen.

2 dead after shooting at Walmart distribution center in Red Bluff
