The Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District says one of its firefighters was killed in a crash on Oct. 3 while riding a motorcycle on his way to work. Last month, two of its firefighters Brenna Kulikowski, 31, and 21-year-old Damon Thompson, died in a head-on crash near Heber.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's office held a news conference on Oct. 3 to provide new details on the arrest of 31-year-old Thomas Brown, who's accused of killing Arcadia High School students Pandora Kjolsrud, 18, and 17-year-old Evan Clark. The victims were found dead in the Mount Ord area of the Tonto National Forest in May.
