Gilbert BMX coach accused of molesting 5 kids over 15 years

A man who worked with valley children as a BMX coach has been arrested. Randall McCamman is accused of molesting at least five kids over the past 15 years. The youngest victim is just 5 years old.

McCamman, 42, is being held at the 4th Avenue Jail and Gilbert police tell FOX 10 this case involves several victims.

McCamman was arrested on September 9. According to the police report, this investigation began in November 2016 after a parent saw a disturbing text on his child's phone.

McCamman was a family friend and coached the victim at a local BMX track. According to police, the texts showed he'd been molesting the boy, who is now 14, for the past two years. These alleged offenses happened at McCamman's home in Gilbert and on trips for racing.

As the investigation unfolded, police discovered four other victims and all were juveniles at the time. All five victims were known to McCamman and the alleged offenses happened between 2001 and 2016.

McCamman is being held on a $250,000 bond. He was charged with six counts of molestation of a child, 10 counts of sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of furnishing harmful items to minors.
