Scottsdale firefighters battle blaze that damaged two homes

A fire in Scottsdale destroyed one home and damaged another near Pima and McDowell.

They first got the call of the fire after 4, Friday afternoon.

Video from SkyFox showed two homes that were burning.

The fire is believed to have started in a shed of one of the homes and then spread to the other structures.

The people inside both homes escaped just before firefighters arrived.

Scottsdale Fire Department crews attacked the fire externally because of concerns over a weak roof.

Tempe, Mesa, and Phoenix Fire Departments assisted Scottsdale Fire with fighting the blaze.

An investigation is underway to determine what caused the fire.
