Valley woman finds surprise message in box of baby wipes

MESA, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Nikki Bridge, a mother of four, was restocking her baby wipes supply when she noticed something inside of the sealed Pampers.

"I go to open the wipes, just slit it right down the middle and I find a dollar bill sitting in there," she said.

Nikki says she didn't think anything of it at first, as she was in the middle of her busy routine.

"Actually, I felt really bad because I was like, 'Oh no, somebody lost their money inside of the box of wipes before they packaged it up,'" she said.

The next day, Nikki had a thought -- what if this wasn't an accident? So she unfolded the bill and was shocked at what she found.

"It says, 'wishing you love, prosperity and peace,'" she said. "I just thought, 'wow, that's my message, that's my message to my kids every day, that's my message to my children, that's my message to the world,' because I feel that there's so much negativity and I wish for more kindness every day and so I was like, 'maybe this was fate, not a chance, but fate that I got this.'"

Even though it wasn't a fortune, Nikki says she feels like she hit the jackpot because kindness is priceless and she has a message for the sweet stranger behind her gesture.

"Thank you so much," she said. "I want you to know I'm sharing this in a big way and I hope it does pay forward and make somebody else's day also."
