"Victim" of alleged cyberbullying in Safford arrested by police

Investigation into incidents of alleged cyberbullying at Safford High School has taken a strange twist.

Earlier in the week, FOX 10 Phoenix reported that more than 400 students -- more than half of the Safford High School student body -- skipped school after a series of threats were made against another student through social media. Worried parents were concerned over social media threats promising arson, violence, and that a gun would be brought to school.

Now, police in Safford said the teen who said she was the victim has been arrested. The alleged victim (and now suspect), according to police, hacked into another student's Snapchat account, and sent the threats to herself.

Meanwhile, the student whose account had been hacked has reportedly passed a polygraph test. The FBI was reportedly involved.
