Video appears to show Dems boasting about inciting violence at Trump rallies

FOX 32 NEWS - A pro-Trump conservative group claims to have a bombshell. It says it secretly recorded a local congresswoman's husband as he boasted of disrupting Donald Trump's campaign rallies. They say he may have violated federal law.

It's the latest video from James O'Keefe, a conservative provocateur who's been caught in the past selectively editing conversations he's secretly recorded. O'Keefe's now claiming he caught Robert Creamer, married to Evanston's Rep. Jan Schakowsky, bragging that he coordinates a nationwide scheme to embarrass top Republicans.

"Wherever Trump and Pence are gonna be we have events. OK. And we have a whole team across the country that does that. Both consultants and people from the Democratic Party and the Democratic Party apparatus and people from the campaign, the Clinton campaign. And my role in the campaign is to manage all that," Creamer can be heard saying on video.

A local attorney who supports Trump was infuriated by what he saw on that videotape and claims it may violate federal law.

"Think how cynical these people are to actually pay people - They're paying their thugs, their goons," said Doug Ibendahl. "And putting them into these Trump events to do their dirty work."

The conservative video purports to show several boasting they helped provoke the violence at UIC last March that forced Donald Trump to cancel a big rally. Creamer's cohorts considered it a victory that Trump was widely condemned for the uproar.

The video portrays Creamer claiming to be the key middleman between Clinton campaign and other, shadowy groups. If he's referring to separately financed Super PACs or dark-money organizations, such coordination may violate federal campaign finance law. Creamer in 2005 was sentenced to five months in prison for bank fraud and tax law violations.

In this angry campaign season, it's not just Democrats who've disrupted rallies, of course. Hillary Clinton, her running mate Tim Kaine and, indeed, President Obama himself have all seen their rallies disrupted by Trump supporters.

FOX 32 sought comment from the Clinton campaign, Congresswoman Schakowsky and her husband. We're still waiting.
