60 confirmed heat-related deaths, 128 still to be investigated in Maricopa County
MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. - New numbers show just how dangerous this year's heat has been.
In Maricopa County, there have been 60 confirmed heat-related deaths so far in 2019. Officials are still investigating 128 deaths as possibly heat-related.
In 2018, the county set a record with 182 heat-related deaths.
The number has risen each of the last three years.
