Valley family says their son is being forced to leave his charter school, because of his hair braids

A Valley family said their 12-year-old son is being forced to leave his school, because of his hair braids.

Nasir Anderson, 12, attended Teleos Prep. The school is part of the Great Hearts Academies public charter school system, said the student's hairstyle violates the dress code.

The school said its rules explicitly says no braids on school uniform. Bill Odell with Great Hearts Academies released a statement, which reads, in part:
