MCSO announces adoptions for rescued puppies

After several weeks of much-needed veterinary attention and compassionate care by Sheriff Arpaio's MASH Unit, several young, brave survivors will soon be ready for their new forever homes.

The unit is preparing to adopt several dogs including bulldogs, Maltese-mix, Labradoodle and Chihuahua puppies.

MCSO has received many calls from people hoping to adopt the dogs, so a lottery drawing will be held from approved applications. The winners will receive the dogs from Sheriff Arpaio.

Those wishing to apply to adopt the dogs are encouraged to visit the MASH website at www.mcso.org/mash and fill out both the Adoption Contract and Questionnaire. You will need to submit both of these items via email to MASH@mcso.maricopa.gov or mail to: MASH Unit 550 W Jackson St., Phoenix, AZ 85003.

Applications must be received no later than Thursday August 6, 2015. If your application is approved, you will then be notified by phone or email of the date and time of the adoption lottery.

For those who are not chosen in the lottery, it is our sincere hope that you would consider one of the dozens of other healthy, happy and perfectly adoptable animals at the Sheriff's no-kill shelter. Each one is looking for a forever home where they can give what dogs love to give - a lifetime of unconditional love.
