Police: Driver fled scene after crashing into house

People living in a southwest Phoenix home have a lot of repairs to make after a Cadillac slammed into their living room around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities say the car smashed through a block wall and then into the wall of the home near 46th Avenue and Baseline Road. Everyone in the car took off from the scene except for one person who remained in the living room, looking disoriented.

"I'm not shocked because people go super fast down this road.. it doesn't surprise me," said a neighbor.

The homeowners were concerned about removing the car, thinking the wall or the roof of their home might collapse. The good news -- it didn't.

Police found the Cadillac's owner and are now trying to determine who was actually driving it.
