Wet weather drives sales at Valley Christmas tree lot

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - It's raining, it's pouring, but the guys here at the Valley View Christmas Tree Lot say the weather won't dampen sales.

"Kind of like snowy affect, you know, makes you feel like you're closer to Christmas time," Colby Turner said. "It's hurry, rush, rush, rush... let's get it done."

The hustle and bustle of the season, the cooler winter-like weather is an early holiday gift for Christmas tree salesman Colby Turner, who works at the Valley View Christmas Tree Lot on 36th Drive and Thomas.

"Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday... we rocked, we had so many customers it was hard to keep up with them," he said.

Turner says the days leading up to December 25 will just get busier. He expects Thursday's wet weather will really put people in the mood to prepare for festivities.

"We're all lit up, we're ready for business, whether it's one, or 10, or 100," he said.

The Valley View Christmas Tree Lot is open all the way through Christmas Eve, rain or shine.
