2 charged in San Tan Valley assault plead not guilty
Jacob Pennington, 20, and 18-year-old Garrett Bagshaw were arraigned Friday morning. Both men pleaded not guilty in connection to the assault of a 16-year-old last November. Court documents say Pennington and Bagshaw confessed to the assault, but Pennington told investigators he was defending a female friend who he claims was hit by the victim.
