Marquise "Hollywood" Brown is expected to have a big role in the Cardinals' offense, particularly early in the season when three-time All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins is out for the first six games after being suspended for violating the NFL’s policy on performance enhancers.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury said that Murray was experiencing “minor” symptoms. The coach added that Murray will miss a minimum of five days.

The Cardinals announced that they’ve removed an addendum to Kyler Murray’s $230.5 million, five-year contract that mandated at least four hours of “independent study” during game weeks.

The Cardinals put Marquise Brown on the active/non-football injury list on July 26, meaning the receiver counts toward the 90-man preseason roster but can’t practice or play until he’s removed from the list.

The Cardinals acquired Brown and a third-round pick in a draft-day trade with the Baltimore Ravens back in April. The Ravens received the No. 23 overall pick in return.

The NFL Network reported that should Murray not be in compliance with the addendum, he risks losing credits if there are certain distractions during his study time, including watching television, playing video games, or surfing the internet.
