More than 130 employees were recognized during the Phoenix Police Department's annual awards ceremony. Among the honorees were fallen Office Zane Coolidge, who was awarded the department's highest recognition. Officer Coolidge died after being shot in the line of duty. His partner, Officer Matthew Haney, received the police shield, as well as the medals of valor and life saving.
