Firefighters say a fire that badly damaged a home near the Loop 101 and 59th Avenue is believed to have been caused by an electric scooter. Investigators say the fire started in the garage, where an electric vehicle was parked inside. Initially, firefighters thought the fire originated with the electric vehicle, but it was later determined the flames were sparked by the electric scooter. No one was hurt.
