A man is expected to survive after police say he was hit by a truck near 19th Avenue and Montebello. Police say the man suffered serious injuries and the driver fled after the collision.

A judge ruled that prosecutors can pursue the death penalty against Bryan Kohberger if he is convicted of murdering four University of Idaho students in 2022, despite the defendant’s recent autism diagnosis, the Associated Press reported. Governor Katie Hobbs signed a bi-partisan disability services funding bill. The bill closes the funding gap for the state's Division of Developmental Disabilities, which provides services for nearly 60,000 disabled Arizonans. The agency was set to run out of money at the end of this month and would have had to shut down until the new budget year.
