Dust devil rips through Avondale home's yard

A man was found to have drowned in his backyard pool in Avondale, the police department said on Saturday. This is the third drowning reported on May 6 after a toddler died after being found inside a Phoenix hotel pool and a Mesa man died after reportedly jumping into a lake to grab a basketball.

4 injured, including child, in Avondale crash

Four people were hurt in a crash Thursday night near 107th Avenue and Indian School Road. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says two adults suffered life-threatening injuries. A child and another adult had non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
