July 29 marks one year since 12 train cars derailed and a train struck a bridge over Tempe Town Lake, causing it to collapse. The derailment sparked a massive fire, and a couple of cars carrying hazardous material overturned, leaking chemicals. City officials say tests have shown no evidence of those chemicals in the water, but repairs to the surrounding area are still being made. The NTSB has finished its investigation and will soon release its final report.
