A Valley woman is taking action to help those affected by the wildfires in Maui through the power of hula. The local hula instructor held a fundraising event on Aug. 12 at The Woodshed Two in Mesa. The wildfires have now killed more than 80 people and left unthinkable damage to the island. She says the celebration of dance, song and culture sends a clear message to loved ones impacted.
