Surprise Police say the incident happened on Nov. 2 near 175th and Olive Avenues when a BNSF train collided with a pedestrian.

The dogs, ranging in age from two days old to 17 years old, were surrendered to Sky Sanctuary Rescue in Cave Creek and to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Police have named one of the three men killed in a Surprise "unprovoked" shooting as the suspect. The shooting happened the night of July 3, leaving wives and children left to pick up the pieces.

A Surprise man is in a lot of trouble after authorities accuse him of peeping into other people's homes.

An elderly woman identified as the wrong-way driver was killed in the crash. The other driver was seriously injured. Two small children were also inside that car – a 2-year-old girl who later died at the hospital, and an 8-month-old boy who remains hospitalized in serious condition.

"The two subjects allegedly attempted to gain access into a bedroom, at which time a single gunshot was fired at the two from within the bedroom," the sheriff's office said.

The child had been unaccounted for for at least three hours, officials said. The incident happened near Greenway and Reems roads around 1:50 p.m. on July 12.

Surprise investigators say the suspect is believed to be involved in five different burglaries, and mostly small businesses were targeted.
