The biggest New Year's Eve celebration in downtown Phoenix is back. A block party will be held Dec. 31 at Margaret T. Hance Park near Central and Portland. The annual event was put on hold last year because of the coronavirus pandemic. The new location will be entirely outdoors and there will be three stages of music, as well as fireworks and food trucks.

Downtown Phoenix's security cameras are blurry, outdated – PD looks to replace them

You might not have known it, but between 7th Street and 7th Avenue from Jackson Street to Interstate 10, there are 60 security cameras for the city of Phoenix and the police department. They were originally installed in 2008, but many are now damaged or broken.
